Evelyn Lindgren is a pianist, educator, and arranger located in Brooklyn, NY. A performer of classical and modern music alike, her approach to music education is both innovative and versatile. Her pedagogical philosophy is driven by the belief that all students have the aptitude to learn music.
A performer with an extensive range, Evelyn has worked in several artistic genres including dance, theatre, and chamber music. Most notably, she was the Music Director for Brigit St. Brigit’s production of Steven Sondheim’s “Assassins” in 2019, was the pianist for the performance of Kate Soper’s “Voices from the Killing Jar” at the 2018 Omaha Under the Radar, and accompanied a recital of art songs for Soprano and Piano commissioned by Opera Omaha for their inaugural “ONE” Festival in 2018.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has since attended the Tyrolean International Piano Academy in Innsbruck, Austria and the soundSCAPE Performance and Composition Exchange in Maccagno, Italy. Her primary teachers were Michelle Lindgren, Dr. James Johnson, and Anne Madison.
